I write heroic fantasy, serve as database goddess for a trade show publisher as my day job, herd my cats when I want to be annoyed.... and I have more stuffed animals (toys!) than any woman who has no children should have.

I live in a 1912 house in Urbia in Kansas City--I'm five minutes from downtown, Westport, the 39th Street entertainment area and the Plaza, and pretty much in the center which, unless it is our poor traffic times (7:30-8:30 a.m., 5-6 p.m.) makes it at most a half hour to 45 minutes from just about anywhere in the Kansas City metro area.

I'm currently in thinning the household possessions mode, I'm just tired of clutter.

I became a below-knee amputee as of 5/22/2012 and started using my prosthetic 9/5/2012 due to an shallow wound that took time to heal. So far, so good (9/8/2012).
